Waiting for the Light to Hit Just Right...

I've always loved nightclubs: the lights, the clothes, the dancing, the vibes, I adore it all. When I picked up photography, the first thing I wanted to capture was the energy of the club – but with zero images in my portfolio, reaching out to venues was challenging. Luckily, Judy’s Tasmania allowed me to enter their space and build my portfolio, and I am incredibly grateful for that opportunity.

I became addicted to observing the crowd, waiting for the lights to hit just right so I could capture the perfect shot. I immersed myself in the drag scene – as I watched their skills evolve, my skills evolved with them. They became my friends and my sources of inspiration. I strive to reflect the hard work of the drag community in my photos, hoping they capture the empowerment I feel through this art form.
